Tonka Bean Absolute is extracted from the seeds (beans) of the fruit of the Dipteryx odorata, also known as Cumaru or Kumaru which is a large tropical tree native to Central and South America.

Having a sweet caramel like aroma with hints of vanilla and almond it makes an excellent natural ingredient and fixative in perfumery.

Tonka Bean Oil has antiseptic properties and in Aromatherapy can bring a sense of calm and serenity.
